DRAMA WORKSHOPS All of these sessions use techniques employed in professional theatre practice and can support KS 2/3/4 + English, History, Citizenship, PSHE, Music. Run by a professional theatre practitioner, these energetic and challenging days of skills building can be devised to suit individual group needs. They all incorporate drama techniques, specifically developed to maximise benefits in the following areas: * Strengthens team building * Enhances communication skills* Develops personal resources* Improves problem solving abilities* Promotes co-operation and complicity* Improves memory, focus and concentration* Increases self confidence and self-esteem* Encourages creative thinking and imagination * Develops self expression and spontaneity* Improves personal and social skills Themed Drama Workshops (KS 2/3/4+)* Session may be linked to particular topic or character (e.g. Customs, Music and Dance at the Tudor Court or Victorian Streetlife) * Session may be linked to particular subject or resource (e.g. history, book, play) * Promotes wider understanding of perspectives and issues (e.g. eye witness account, responsibility) All In A Days Play (KS 2/3/4+)* Discover the effectiveness of tableau work and use your imagination to create a visual story * Develop a simple idea through to performance in just a day* How music and sound can be used in place of speech Mask and Physical Theatre Workshops (KS 3/4+)(Mask theatre work is of particular value to the shy or less confident pupil)* How to utilise your physicality in self expression and become aware of what your body ?says? even when you don?t speak* Develop your self confidence by ?wearing a different face? * Use half and full masks to create a world of richly expressive character types
